The sound of the Qiantang River tide never ceases, and the cultural heritage of its basin continues in an unbroken flow over a long period. As the mother river that nourishes the land of Zhejiang, the Qiantang River links together a 10,000-year history of rice cultivation, a 5,000-year history of ritual civilization, and the cultural essence of successive dynasties, forming a regional civilizational system marked by strong continuity, broad inclusiveness, and high distinctiveness. It occupies a unique and important position in the pluralistic yet integrated framework of Chinese civilization. Deepening the research on Qiantang River civilization is not only an academic responsibility in advancing the exploration of civilization origins and carrying forward historical roots, but also a practical need for serving the construction of a cultural power and enhancing the soft power of regional culture. Following the successful expert symposium held in January 2026 and the publication of the first issue of the written discussion column in this journal, this issue continues to present the“Written symposinm on ‘Qiantang River Civilization Studies’ ”. Six experts, drawing on a multi-disciplinary perspective, have delved deeply into topics such as ideological inheritance, civilization interpretation, scientific archaeology, and poetic and cultural heritage, injecting new academic thinking and research vitality into this field. This journal will maintain a long-term column on“Qiantang River Civilization Studies”, expecting continued attention and joint efforts from scholars at home and abroad to further expand the research scope, jointly building an academic peak in the research of Qiantang River civilization.

Humans are the only animals on earth that have complex needs of both physical and spiritual natures. Within the realm of spiritual needs, the behavioral processes of creating, producing, consuming, and enjoying spiritual products, as well as their works and achievements generated, can all be classified as “art” and “artworks”. Therefore, to a large extent, art is a part of life. The origins of these “art” and “artworks” must be understood through the complex labor of people with cultural knowledge and craftsmanship. Various materialized artworks are preserved in different ways and to different degrees in ancient sites. Through archaeological work, various types of cultural relics containing artistic elements from underground are excavated and cleaned. By further interpreting and researching the artworks and artistic elements, we can, to a certain extent, understand the artistic practices and the phased characteristics of artworks of a certain group of people in a certain region and historical period, Based on this logic, by discussing and analyzing the artistic materials discovered in the archaeological findings of the early and middle neolithic periods in Zhejiang, we can understand the origin and developmental process of primitive art in Zhejiang and its phased characteristics.

Intra-Party conduct supervision is a critical component of intra-Party supervision and a fundamental guarantee for the Party's conduct building. Given that fine conduct constitutes the political DNA of the Party, and that problems in conduct are susceptible to interest-driven temptations and possess a tendency for rebound and inertia, it is imperative to strengthen intra-Party conduct supervision. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee has enhanced institutional improvements in multiple areas, including inspection supervision, discipline inspection supervision, and talk-based supervision, therefore significantly enhancing the comprehensiveness, authority, regularity, pertinence, and predictability of intra-Party conduct supervision. To address problems such as insufficient continuity in conduct building in some regions, as well as the variability, secrecy, and ambiguity of certain conduct issues, it is essential to promote the rule-of-law orientation, normalization, scientific rigor, and technological empowerment of intra-Party conduct supervision.

Under the strategic goal of common prosperity, the development dilemma of traditional agricultural villages needs to be addressed urgently. This paper takes Village Y, Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province as the research object, and applies the leadership theory to construct an analytical framework of “Common Prosperity Gear”, focusing on the three core capacities of grassroots Party organizations in promoting rural revitalization, namely, organizational mobilization, resource leveraging, and benefit linkage. Through a single-case study, this paper aims to answer the operation mechanism of by which grassroots Party organizations drive the “Common Prosperity Gear” in traditional agricultural villages: organizational mobilization stimulates collective action and lays the social foundation for resource leveraging which revitalizes dormant elements and provides material conditions for benefit linkage; benefit linkage gathers endogenous momentum, further consolidating the participatory effects of organizational mobilization. The experience of Village Y shows that leveraging the leadership of grassroots Party organizations can effectively deal with the bottlenecks in the development of traditional agricultural villages, thus promoting rural revitalization and common prosperity.

Residential urban renewal, as a main content of urban renewal, with a sound policy system is of significant strategic importance for improving the top-level design of urban development, promoting cross-sectoral policy coordination, and enhancing the modernization level of urban governance.Based on text mining and existing research results, this study constructs an evaluation index system for residential urban renewal policies and quantitatively evaluates 12 representative policy texts using the PMC index model. The results show that the comprehensive scores of the policy samples are distributed in a three-tier gradient distribution, with 2 policies being excellent, 7 being good, and 3 being acceptable. This indicates that such policies generally possess a certain degree of scientificity, feasibility, and coordination; however, there are also problems such as localized policy focus and conservative incentive mechanisms. Therefore, the study suggests that policy design should continuously focus on key links such as health check and assessment, residential resettlement, and energy-saving renovation, and use incentive tools such as tax preferences and performance evaluation to make up for the shortcomings of existing policies and stimulate market and social vitality. In this way, a more scientific, coordinated, and efficient policy system can be constructed to comprehensively improve the quality of urban residential renewal and the effectiveness of governance.

Critique of the Gotha Program embodies Marx's profound pursuit of common prosperity.By critiquing Lassalle's reformism, Marx revealed the ownership roots of wealth disparity and identified public ownership of the means of production as the fundamental prerequisite for achieving fair distribution and common prosperity. At present, the inherent advantages of the public ownership economy in promoting common prosperity have not been fully realized, the dual effectiveness of the state-owned sector in “making the pie bigger” and “distributing it well” urgently needs improvement, the foundational role and vitality of rural collective economy require urgent enhancement, and the dominance and influence of the public ownership component in mixed-ownership economies are facing challenges. Therefore, it is necessary to boost the state-owned sector through coordinated efforts through the combined advancement of layout optimization, market-oriented reform, and fair distribution; to revitalize the rural collective economy through the coordinated promotion of categorized guidance, factor empowerment, and governance innovation; and to regulate the mixed-ownership economy through governance embedding and goal alignment coordination. These efforts aim to further strengthen, optimize and expand the public sector, thereby solidifying the material foundation and institutional guarantee for common prosperity.

Automated decision-making has been extensively adopted in criminal trials in China. While it enhances the criminal justice, the accompanying security risks cannot be overlooked. In terms of procedural risks, the application of automated decision-making has given rise to new challenges, including an intensified imbalance of power between the prosecution and the defence, the marginalization of procedural rights, and the alienation of judges' independent adjudicative authority. Traditional procedural justice also faces challenges due to the dual impact of biased evidentiary reasoning and the algorithmic black boxes. Specifically, biased evidentiary reasoning gives rise to the risk of insufficient accuracy in fact-finding, while algorithmic black boxes introduce risks of untrustworthy decision outcomes. In response, the concept of technical due process should be introduced to regulate automated decision-making in a targeted manner within the framework of its four structural elements. Specifically, this can be achieved by strengthening the protection of defense rights, introducing emerging due procedural rights, and upholding the judge's central role under the “human-in-the-loop” principle. Concurrently, during evidence review, the plausibility of evidentiary reasoning conclusions should be accepted, and rules for algorithmic explanation and disclosure should be established. These measures will enhance safety, controllability, and reliability of automated decision-making in criminal proceedings, improve the quality and efficiency of trials, and effectively promote fairness and justice.

The primary purpose of the death declaration system lies in promptly settling the personal and property relationships between a missing person and others, thereby ending a prolonged uncertain legal state and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of the living. Although the Civil Code continues to use the concept of “interested parties” for applications to declare a missing person dead, it departs from previous legislation by removing restrictions on the order of applicants, yet it still fails to clearly define the specific scope and sequence. Article 16 of the Judicial Interpretation of the General Provisions of the Civil Code stipulates the scope, order, and determination criteria for “interested parties”, yet exhibits multiple deficiencies including an overly narrow scope, unclear normative logic, procedural obstacles in application, and order provisions that contradict the legislative intent, leaving room for further scholarly discussion. This paper proposes adopting an expansive interpretation of “interested parties” that incorporates direct affine relatives, individuals entitled to an appropriate share of the inheritance, collective economic organizations, creditors, and the state, while eliminating hierarchical ordering stipulations to achieve better alignment with the legislative purpose of the death declaration system.

“People-centeredness” is a key word in Contemporary Chinese literature. Its literary practice involves the propositions of “who” and “how to do it”. Zhejiang Kunqu Opera interprets the ideas of “the people's stance”,“seeking truth from facts”, and “conducting investigations and research” in its adaptation and performance of Fifteen Guan, thereby endowing “people-centeredness” with concrete connotations. The people-centered view of history is the philosophical foundation of “people-centeredness”. In its adaptation of Fifteen Guan from the original Dream of the Two Bears, Fifteen Guan both approaches and departs from the aspirations for sublimity, greatness, and poetic quality upheld by the people-centered historical view of the Seventeen-Year period in terms of subject matter and characterization, emotional mode, and appreciation psychology. It demonstrates the adaptation and persistence of traditional historical drama in the rewriting of“people-centeredness,” as well as the difficulties involved in understanding and practicing “people-centeredness”, which can provide inspiration for contemporary literary writing on “peoplecenteredness”.

The construction of "Double First-Class" is a significant leading project implemented by the country in the new era to realize China's strategy of national rejuvenation. How to leverage the role of first-class disciplines is of vital importance. Drawing on AGIL model, this study constructs an analytical framework encompassing four functional dimensions—adaptation, goal attainment, integration, and latency—to systematically elaborate the internal logic through which first-class disciplines serve national strategies. The study finds that first-class disciplines face challenges such as uneven disciplinary distribution, ambiguous development directions, and insufficient capacity for transforming research outcomes in the process of serving national strategies. These problems constrain their service momentum and potential. To promote the high-quality development of first-class disciplines, it is essential to shift from instrumental rationality to value rationality in terms of intrinsic value orientation and action logic. This involves actively creating service scenarios, setting strategic goals, dynamically responding to social needs, and refining the spirit and culture of disciplines,so as to accelerate the deep integration of disciplines with national strategic needs.

As a key backbone force in implementing the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, the team of youth counselors shoulder the important mission of nurturing students' moral character, safeguarding the political security in higher education institutions, and building a new ecosystem for education. Based on the internal developmental needs and current status of young counselors, this study examines the practical challenges they face and clarifies the intrinsic logic behind counselor team development, employing McClelland's Achievement Motivation Theory in organizational behavior as an analytical framework. The research reveals that young counselors demonstrate stronger needs for achievement, power and affiliation in terms of career goals, developmental space and professional belonging. Based on this, this study proposes the building of a three-dimensional driving cultivation system of "achievement leading-power empowering-affiliation uniting", which precisely responds to the core needs of young counselors in career development, professional influence, and organizational belonging, and promotes the transformation of counselor team building from “managerial constraints” to “intrinsic motivation”. Specifically, it proposes development pathways such as standardizing the cultivation system and establishing exemplary models to stimulate the need for achievement;improving assessment mechanisms and smoothing career development channels to accommodate the need for power; and fostering a harmonious atmosphere and attending to counselors' physical and mental well-being to satisfy the need for affiliation.

With the expansion of university scale and the diversification of research needs, traditional asset management faces challenges such as complex management scenarios, inefficient information circulation, lagging resource allocation, low asset utilization, and high maintenance costs.By establishing an intelligent asset governance framework for universities based on AIoT and digital twins—which uses digital twin modules to monitor real-time perception of asset status, data analysis modules to predict operational needs, and intelligent decision-making modules to optimize resource scheduling—we can achieve dynamic governance of asset resources, breaking through the limitations of information silos and static decision-making. After being applied in relevant university settings, the system has demonstrated tangible results in improving asset utilization efficiency, reducing operational energy consumption, and optimizing maintenance costs. It is recommended that university asset governance should be grounded in data governance, supported by business collaboration, and guided by intelligent decision-making, thereby driving the transformation of asset management from transaction-oriented management to proactive, collaborative, and intelligent governance.
